Another review in English. Last year, by coïncidence, we found a very good restaurant in Agios Stefanos (San Stefano). Let me first describe the bay. Because for me this is the most beautiful place of Corfu. The bay is in the north eastern part of the island. From Gouvia Marina we sail across Kouloura, Kalami and Agni, three beautiful small bays with white beaches and clear blue water. Around the corner you see green mountains, pine apple trees and cypress. Once you are in the bay, you are entering a small village with some restaurants and shops. From the bay across the sea you see Albania.
The bay is small and the wind makes it sometimes difficult to find a good spot to anker. But because of the restaurant of our friend Christos, we come here on a regular base. Last year we took different groups here and they all were very happy with the food.
The restaurant looks nice and different than other greek restaurants. It’s difficult to describe what it is, it just is. When you get in to the restaurant you are welcomed by Christos or Emile and they immediately make you feel at home. Christos comes to the table to tell you all the specials on the menu and it doesn’t really matter what you take (but I suggest you take at least the aubergines with tomato sauce and cheese as a starter), everything is good. All the food comes fresh from the land and from the sea. And comes from the island itself.
A place worth visiting if you are on Corfu, either when you come with a car or by boat, both travels there are beautiful.
